After taking a reprieve from music making, I was not sure where and when I would return to creating again. You could say that I lost my spark. Life seemed overwhelmingly busy now, with a child my priorities shifted, willingly yes, but I can't deny that sometimes prioritizing sleep over creative flow can be challenging to my heart. I am also now experiencing what it is to be a single parent; this has propelled me into making sure that my life purpose, and responsibilities are in alignment with one another, and not to lose sight of what is most important to me.
But my heart was aching and in need of great care as well.
I took the time to go deep with myself, and I am still diving. I have gone past the depths of the twilight zone, and into the abyssal zone of my soul. I keep diving deeper each day, now that I have lost the fear of darkness, I think I will keep going. The creatures that lurk in my underworld are amazing.

Shadow work is a bit like traveling to space, or diving into the ocean. It can seem insurmountable, and obscure at first. The fear of the unknown can take hold and not let go but when we have to face a choice in matters of our heart for survival, there is no option but to dive in and go.
Now I understand those dreams I was having about jumping into a large body of water. At first my fears of the currents taking me away, and drowning were too strong to allow me to go in; here I am now, after taking the plunge, I have discovered that I can still breathe underwater. I am a fish.
